Our goal is to reduce the recidivism rate in the District. We know from our long experience serving individuals involved in the criminal justice system who are given services pre-and-post release from incarceration make a successful transition to become positively contributing citizens to our economy and community.   

We remain committed to our long history of providing basic human services to meet basic human needs. We've been doing this work for 50 years -- standing in the gap before people even knew there was one. VSC has been a bridge for so many and we will continue to advocate for real second chances for our justice-involved individuals and their families.
