Volunteer

There are several ways to volunteer your time with VSC. In the office, volunteers answer phone calls and letters from clients, perform office tasks, and help our professional staff to provide services. We also have need for help around the holidays to organize and process donations to our Adopt a Family program.

We always welcome volunteer help in building maintenance and repair, such as electrical work, painting, gardening, etc.

IN-KIND DONATIONS

Your in-kind donation will go directly to provide for our clients. Our wish list for in-kind items includes:

​

  • Metro Cards

  • New and gently used women's and men's clothing, including new underwear and socks

  • Food items such as individual packages of cheese, tuna, granola bars, as well as fruit, juice, and water

  • Travel-sized toiletries

  • Office supplies such as paper, pens, file folders, etc.

  • Small desks and office chairs

  • New laptop computers
